Prototype: Dive Roll and Claws

So, there's this guy on the Prototype board on GameFAQs/Gamespot named ShinWesker, and he insists that the Dive Roll is the most useless ability in the game.

Anytime someone tried to fight him on those arguments, he always came back to the same point: "Rolling is pretty useless. You can evade one hit and the next will hit you because the Hunters are programmed to AUTO AIM at you every time. I have never seen a game before where Rolling was so damn useless"

And then he has issues a "challenge" to everyone to prove him otherwise.

"Again my Video Challenge:

Hard Mode (not NEW GAME+, fresh one).
Play till you get the Claws. (No other upgrades, no health upgrades)
Fight the Hunters Just using the claws and rolling. No throwing, no consuming (except Hunters), no weapons.

Record it and prove me wrong. Otherwise you are just flaming."

He's been hiding behind that straw man argument for too long. It's time to face the truth, Shin.

For the first fight against the Hunter, it's his health bar.

I think it's there because it's only the 2nd mission, so maybe new players have yet to realize the "lock-on" function.
