Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) -- A commodity exhibition was opened at Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 recently.

On display at the exhibition are more than 3.5 million goods of over 1 400 kinds presented by industrial establishments in Pyongyang and local areas.

Production units under the Ministry of Foodstuff and Daily Necessities Industry, the General Bureau of Public Service and the Ministry of Construction and Building-Materials Industry exhibit cookies, articles for cultural use and furniture.

The Ministry of Light Industry, the Sericulture Guidance Bureau and the Unha Guidance Bureau put on show quality textile goods, fibers, kitchenware and footwear.

Catching visitors' eyes in the exhibition are August 3 consumer goods.

They, mainly produced by reutilization production work-teams, are popular among visitors for their fashionable styles and economic effectiveness.

The manager of Pyongyang Department Store No. 1, Jong Myong Ok, told KCNA that the exhibition draws hundreds of industrial establishments throughout the country, including reutilization production work-teams.

The exhibition showing the development of the country's light industry would contribute to improving the people's standard of living. -0-

  • Greetings from Poland :)

Kolory tych produktów oraz ich wzornictwo przywodzą mi na myśl czasy Edwarda Gierka, czyli Polskę lat 70-tych.

    Te ręczniki, flakoniki,

    Rowerki, duperelki,

    Mydełka, mazidełka,

    Mebelki z paździerza,

    Bluzeczki bez kołnierza.

Wszystko to w tandetnych kolorach, a oprawa muzyczna rodem z Telewizyjnego Koncertu Życzeń :)

P.S. W dziale "sport", są rakiety do tenisa ziemnego ale nie widzę rakietek (lub jak niektórzy mówią "paletek") do ping ponga ...?

  • I love that song!
