The Intraoperative Magnetic Resonance Imaging (iMRI) scanner is new technology at Henry Ford Hospital and the first and only one in Michigan. The iMRI is providing neurosurgeons with an amazingly detailed view of brain tumors during surgery. This advanced technology makes it possible to safely and effectively navigate the brain to remove the maximum amount of tumor tissue, improving patient outcomes.
