An opener from TAS TV Evening News in Tasmania from Monday 18th July 1994.
This was after aggregation changed Tasmanian television forever earlier in the year, which meant that there are now two commercial networks shown on each side of the state, with Southern Cross Television, showing Seven and Ten programs, beginning to beam the satellite to southern Tasmanian viewers, and TAS TV, showing Nine programs, making its debut in the north of the state.
Over two months after this bulletin went to air, ENT Limited, the Launceston-based company which owned TAS TV, VIC TV, and many radio stations, was bought by WIN Television. As a result, TAS TV and VIC TV which screened to viewers in regional Victoria, was incorporated into the ever-growing WIN network and subsequently renamed to WIN Television from October 1994.
The newsreader is Tom Payne.
