A better quality & extended version of the video I currently have posted.

It features additional comments from Ron MacLean (after his audio cut out and was fixed live). This is followed by the opening face-off and first few minutes of the first period of the game with Chicago visiting Toronto, as called by Bob Cole & Harry Neale.

  • Man, I didn't want this video to end. Such great memories. I love how the old Gardens had open access for fans who walk by behind the players to the tunnel. So cool seeing that on tv.

  • Miss those venerable old buildings...lucky to have taken in games in each and every original 6 building (MLG, Boston Garden, MSG, Mtl Forum,Detroit Olympia,Chicago Stadium). today's arenas have no soul...with the exception of maybe Joe Louis. Aslo went to games at the St.Louis Arena, The Spectrum,L.A. Forum,Calgary Corral and Saddledome, Buffalo Memorial Aud, Northlands Coll,Pacific Coll,Winnipeg Arena,Le Collisee, Met Center...Man the Spectrum was wild!!

  • 5:01 That's Jessica the theme from BBC Top Gear.

  • cosmic - bob cole + harry neil ...bang

  • I miss this.

  • @Inquisitive0Minds Loved that bumper music...

  • Miss Special Dry....Great beer...

  • @SouthshoreVice Actually before the whole "bailout money" issue with GM and Chrysler, Ford was garbage. But since then they've fixed up the cars real well with better quality parts and now they're pretty good. The only domestic car company I'd ever purchase from is Ford.

  • ahh man....these were the classic HNIC....and I'm from out west...before the double headers...and I still think these times were the golden ages..

  • @SouthshoreVice I've owned several Fords. Build quality terrible, mechanical quality average.
