@cookiedog3 agree! even though the penalities do not offset but they both do hold the same result, first down! but only one penalty can be called on a team when not a dead ball foul. and if you watch any video of that game that shows the ref signaling the call then you will also see that before he signals pass interference he signals holding on the hurricanes. its really just take your pick. so anybody that says anything otherwise can suck it

There is a video you can find of Miami getting away with murder at least five times in this game. This was another instance of the ref trying to win whatever bet he had going on the game or trying to satisfy whomever paid him off. Luckily there was a backjudge in OT that saw the crap going on and decided the Hurricanes really didn't deserve to win. I will agree pass interference wasn't the right call but it was definitely defensive holding which at that point the penalites offset.

@homefrylock actually it does not really matter if msu beat wisconsin and wisconsin beat osu osu still could have beaten msu seeing as the game would have been in the horseshoe where they went undefeated and also msu was really overrated even though they beat wisconsin they didnt have any more quality wins on their schedule and they got blitzed by an 8-5 iowa team 37-6

"would have" beaten them 50-0...wow thats ignorant. besides, michigan state beat wisconsin, and wisconsin beat osu. if your going to compare teams, make sure it is in the same year (because those rosters are completely different). but since we're talking about 2009: BAMA WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (thats what im trying to say about them)...and usc didn't amount to anything except probation, but were still good enough to beat osu in the horseshoe

@homefrylock u mean the same mich st team we would have beat 50-0. comparative scoring mean much to ya? in 2009 U.S.C beat Ohio st 18-15, Oregon crushed U.S.C 47-20, Ohio st beat Oregon 26-17, so what is it your trying to say about bama and mich st? say what ya want about tressel, atleast he didnt buy cam newtons mom a benz to get him there, and atleast he didnt oversign players to make the team better, he just didnt speak up, and every sec fan wanted ohios best players in the sugar bowl.

michigan state lost 1 game during the regular season. and alabama beat em 49-7 (with the 2nd string in the game in the 3rd quarter)

the big ten champs (wisconsin) lost to a mountain west school (tcu) in the rose bowl

im just saying...it is a fact that ark. finished 3rd in the sec west. they moved up in the ranks thanks to the late season loss of bama. instead of worrying about the sugar bowl, you should be worrying about all the allegations surrounding scum-bag jim tressel

@homefrylock arkansas was a crappy 3rd place team on the west side of the conference? werent they ranked 7th when state played them? didnt they beat lsu and south carolina and the rest of the sec except alabama and auburn, didnt alabama have to come back to beat arkansas. wasnt oregon in the title game 1 year after ohio state beat them? if arkansas sucks than the sec must be awful. werent we up 28-7 before arkansas came back because we tried to run the clock and not attack, yeah we struggled huh
