Joseph Charles Louisiana D-1 Ambassadors 2009 Summer Highlights

Highlights of Joseph "Joe"Charles the recent Dodge City Community College signee, from the Memphis Select tournament July 10-12 and the River City Showdown July 13-15 at the Finch Center. Through five games at the Memphis Select Classic Joe averaged 18.6 points, 4.3 assists, 2.1 steals and 5.1 rebounds per game with only 6 turnovers in 10 games. Joe was consistently one of the top players for the Louisiana D-1 Ambassadors after being only 5 months removed from wearing a halo after suffering a broken neck late last October. Joe will be attending Beau Chene HS in Arnaudville, LA. Joe is one of the top guards in the state of Louisiana that nobody knows about. Whoever picks this kid up is getting a tough, hard nosed player that can flat score the basketball and lock up on defense.

In these two events we played Memphis Magic Elite twice with 2 top 10 players including Joe Jackson a Memphis Commit, Adonis Thomas a top junior, Chris Crawford, who Joe got the better of several times, who is also a Memphis commit and top 70 player, Tarik Black a top 50 player. Nashville Celtics with Florida Commit Casey Prather and Minnesota commit Andre Hollins. M33M with Arkansas commit and top 100 player Mardracus Wade and soon to be top 100 player in the junior class Bobby Ray Parks Jr. Also played Louisiana Future who had top 100 player Shavon Coleman. Other notable teams were Team Nashville and TeamRameyBasketball.com with Austin Peay commit Will Triggs.
