Inspired by the great ABBA chronology, this video aims to present a similair thing - with Benny & Björn's first musical, CHESS.
The most notable aspect in the history of this musical is how various stagings radically change. Sometimes new songs were added, older ones removed, the story line changed - partly dramatically.
This video covers the following major versions:
the 1984 concept album
the 1986 London production
the 1988 Broadway production
the 2002 Swedish production
Not covered are concert versions and tours, who - generally - either are a altered concept album version or altered from 1988 Broadway. Either covered is the 2008 concert at Royal Albert Hall, which is an altered 1986 London version.
Generally not covered is the 1991 Sydney production.
If you want to learn more about the productions, I recommend you the informative www.squareone.org/Chess website.
The version playing in the video is the first time the song appeared (exception: Soviet Machine). The top line will show you what version is playing.

@luvlykir This should be included on all the Chess CDs based on Concept/London/Stockholm (that means: 1984 Concept Album, 1994 In Concert Gothenburg, 2001 Danish Tour Cast Recording, 2002 Pa Svenska and 2008 In Concert Royal Albert Hall) except the 1988 Broadway Cast Recording.
