Why are so many people willing to believe a nutty 19th century idea over 50 years of solid and growing evidence for plate tectonics? Because scientists are always conspiring to keep the truth from us, of course.

For an understanding of plate tectonics, just check out any geology textbook. There are many lines of evidence to the theory, so try googling the following:
Sea floor spreading
Magnetic stripes
Oceanic ridges
Mountain uplift
Altimetry
Subduction
Make sure the websites are reputable, preferably from known academic institutions. For a more detailed look at the evidence, research hundreds of papers that have been written since the 1950s. Here are a few to get you started:

@Erakivnor The fact that you think that there is no known mechanism, does not mean that you can just ignore blatant evidence that can only be explained by expansion and growth.
THERE IS NO KNOWN MECHANISM FOR THE TRANSMISSION OF GRAVITY.
Get that into your cranium and try to comprehend the consequences.

@nealadamsdotcom can you explain me from where the melt you are talking about comes from? "Earth has a molten undercrust in which ancient Basalt from the Mantle is melted and its clock reset. " please tell me the details of this cycle.

@MrAjjdonnelly And just to let you know I am full of doubts about plate Tectonics, which has many obscure parts (like plumes, subduction reservoirs timescales, obduction, subduction initiation, crustal weakness, geologic record and so on)...but the Expandig Earth theory has too many evidences agaist and cannot provide a reliable mechanism by the known physics.

@MrAjjdonnelly (sorry I'm late in replying) you have to take in account from which gas you create a plasma, it influences its density and temperature (needed to confine it). You have to get a plasma which fits the inertia and magnetic field observation. But just remember that temperature is not a free parameter. You have to get a plasma with 9.000-12.000 kg/m (convert the matter you like into electron desity if you want). Clearly you can't have ten to the 5 or more degrees...

It never ceases to amaze me that people who doubt this theory don't seem to have any concept of scientific investigation.
Their general contention and assumption is - The largest group of scientist cannot be wrong.
Regardless of facts.
This runs contrary to any investigation of the history of science. The largest groups of scientists are always the slowest to accept new paradigms.
Change always comes from small groups, of piratically minded empiricists.

if youre willing to fund the research, im more than willing to accompany you in either demonstrating the plausability or not.
btw, einstien was wrong. something can travel faster than light. it took someone to question and then test it. its funny how indoctrination works.
as a final note, id ike to quote a very wise person: "those who dont learn from the past, are bound to repeat it."
