Sometimes it's hard, Sometimes it's a joy.
It's hard to let them "grow up" and take care of diabetes on their own, but I think every mom has that angst as your children grow up and give them more responsibility because you know they can do it.
You go through a lot of emotions as a parent. Is it my fault? Did I do something wrong? These aren't important things to focus on. Learn what you need to learn, and learn it quickly.
I would encourage people to go to http://www.diabetes.org Until we have a cure, I see the American Diabetes Association as being there to take care of people with diabetes until then.
There are so many resources out there. You shouldn't feel hopeless or alone because there are many people that are on your side wanting to help you.
