I believe that electronic music used in the news open was used by WXYZ Detroit as bumper music on their 11pm newscast for many years.

@recto89 - From what I've gathered, Van Amburg only anchored the 5 and 6 P.M. editions at that point.

The other Question is Where is VanAmburg at? Did he have the night off on this one or did VanAmburg only did the 6pm News. Since this is the 11pm news.

@recto89 - The graphics may well have been the same; the only question is, did the other three ABC O&O's of the time also use that layout?
