@dilwich123 i regular take 5 whole fruits per day and 2 serving of veg and high fiber bread with no problems. start low and increase fiber slowly.

@dilwich123 if you have been taking a low fiber diet,you shuld not suddenly increase your fiber intake. start by taking 2 whole fruits a day for a week. that should give you 7 to 8 grams of fiber. avoid bran cereal and too much greens for the first week. 2nd week take 3 whole fruits and one serving of greens. that should give you 15 grams of fiber. week 3 aim for 2 serving of greens 3 whole fruits and high fiber bread or cereal. that will give you close to 30 grams.try to maintain that.

this is a Myth!! we do not need that much fiber! We need plenty fats!! When u consume loads of fiber your bowel go lazy! Read the Barry Groves books and check his wesite!!

@BellaaMarlene Yes I had the same experience but high fiber removes toxins from your body and is good for the heart and high blood pressure. When I was in my early 20's I had no problem ingesting 20-30 gms of fiber a day; infact it helped clear my system out faster than normal, but now in my early 30's Fiber gets me bloated ,gassy and slows my digestion. I'm in a dilemna, I try eating salads , but soluble fiber definately gives me a lot less gass than insoluble fiber.
