Do you know punk music, where people purposely misses the note making it sound a bit raw? Yea, thats pretty much what they are doing. Some people simply doesn't like this, and thats that.

If you listen to the CD, it's the same notes, only they are a little more "smooth" on CD. Makes sense? Means that some will like the CD more, some will like the live the more. I like both~

He does run out of breath at times though.

@balex0 Um youre about to feel stupid. Since when is the singer from Our Lady Peace a girl? I quote "for example Our Lady Peace does a sick job of that". I think his names Raine Maida or something but he is a much better singer than this dude youre obviously tone deaf. Maybe you dont play an instrument or anything but I play lead guitar in a band and I can tell when a singer is completely off key or not hitting the notes. Listen to 1:36 and tell me hes not completely off it sounds turrible..

You're underestimating the 'feel' of their songs - he might reach high notes, thats one of the things he does - but have you not noticed the raw feeling to his voice? A bit like a heavy-metal singer, except he uses this raw power in a bit more intelligent way, to put it nicely. Btw, you're probably going to feel stupid now, but all the examples of other singers your put into your post are female. Just sayin'. :D

Try to sing his songs for yourself- you'll see what I mean.

@brapmusak08 Nah dude alot of other singers can reach all of their notes in their songs live.. For example Our Lady Peace does a sick job of that, Paramore's Hayley Williams does a sick job too. Billy talent is still a good band, and i havet heard a 'bad' billy talent performance, but their all somewhat marred because of Bens limited and unpredictable vocal range.
