  • Peter Schiff needs to do more of this.

He should have invited this guy, and others who think like him to come and ask him questions at some public forum.

Engaging the electorate, not the media is the more effective route.

  • This was painful to watch. How is it that Jim can go 40+ years in his life and not actually see what Government can and can not do?

The people that expect Govt to be there when they need help are in for a shock. (see Katrina)

  • that guy seems drunk. lol

  • gosh, let peter talk

  • The guy on the left has a lack of coherent thought problem!

  • No way. His appeal is how natural he is. That's one reason Bush beat Al Gore. He'll start to look phony if you start that stuff.

  • He's just that nice of a guy

  • There is something really wrong with the guy on the left. I don't know why Peter is wasting his time with him. He has not heard one word Peter said.

  • Good point. Although I'm talking about the utilitarian case for free markets, which hitler certainly didn't support. Anyways I'm sure we agree that the primary point is justice, and that the utility case is powerful alongside it.

  • Spiggity: Yes, you are right about including the "It works" argument, because it is true, and people can see it, but at all times, the that must ACCOMPANY the moral argument, because.. Hitler was a utilitarian. And his system "WORKED" for Germans. He was in power for a long time before WW2 broke out, and restored peace and prosperity to Germany. He had many followers even in the USA (Joe Kennedy and Charles Lindbergh included)

  • i wish he were President.
