HD radio reception at night from my house in Lake Mary, FL (using RS: VU-190XR antenna and 29db pre-amp with selectable FM filter). Antenna is pointed towards Tampa.
buen dato: en el minuto 1:34, este radio capta la emisora "Siempre de Rumba" 92.5 Mhz desde Petersburg, Florida y mi oido escuchó un tema de Gilberto Santa Rosa
good info : in the minute 1:34, the radio captures the radio station " siempre-de-rumba" 92.5 MHz from Petersburg, Florida, and my ears heard a theme of Gilberto Santa Rosa
@Rorschach1985 XL1067 is not a hard station to pick up in the Tampa Counties, Its tranmitter is out of Clermont off SR50 with Tavares as its city of license. Significantly closer than most other Orlando Stations that have transmitters out of a radio farm in Bithlo.(Near the Orange/ Brevard County Line.) I live in Citrus County and I can pick ot up even on my Boombox with a stock antenna.
So you can pick up Magic 94.9 out of Tampa, Mix 100.7 and 101.5 The Point. No to mention pick up Thunder 103.5 on HD2. Not too shabby, especially considering all those stations signals are very weak where you live. I couldn't do that, especially with my cheap POS aftermarket car stereo. Anywhere past the 50DbU Contour (Approximentely 68 Miles from the stations transmitter) is problematic. Sometimes I get bad interference even before that. Only if I'm lucky can I make it to the 79M Contour.(45 D)
That's some pretty good reception for being ~135 miles away from Tampa. Have you picked up any stations out of Ft. Myers? I can pick up some stations from my place in St. Petersburg with an amplified indoor antenna. I used to get 106.7 in Orlando, but I get interference off of 106.5 in Sarasota.
Does that HD radio logo on the front of the radio light up? It looks like it does.

A fellow band scanner. I was wondering if I was the only person to do that. I have a portable hd radio and I have done this in several towns.
