This is a tribute to all the men who served in the U-Boat service during world war II. These men were incredibly brave.
I made this video using original & rare photographs and music by Klaus Doldinger from the epic series/film 'Das Boot' .
When I first saw 'Das Boot' it gave me a different perspective of World War II, it was intriguing to look at the situation from the German point of view. I'm an Englishman but I very much wanted the U-96 and her crew to make it back home, I believe thats what makes 'Das Boot' so special.

Germany obviously was on the wrong side of the fence: They wanted to enslave and conquer and murder others...That doesn't forgive the attrocities commited by the allies but I wouldn't want to live under a Hilter and Japanese today, that's for sure,
