Learning of a heart condition can be frightening, but diagnosis of an aortic aneurysm can be downright terrifying. The good news is that proper screening can prevent deaths like that of John Ritter, and a good surgeon can help you to not only survive; but also to live life to it's fullest, often with no limitations. • Thank you for posting this video I'm 36 years old and I just found out that I have a aortic aneurysm mine is 5.0 I go to the dr. In two days to see what route he's going I've been very scared worried about my kids and wife the what ifs. This video has took a lot off my mind I needed that.

  • I was 47 years old when I was diagnosed with an ascending aortic aneurysm. I also had a bicuspid aortic valve. On 11/05/08 I had my ascending aorta, aortic valve and root replaced. Other than some neurologic fallout, I am doing well.

  • I AM 69 AND HAVE A 5.3 CM ASENDING AOTRA ANEURYSM. i EXPECT TO HAVE MY 2ND OPEN HEART SURGERY WITHIN 6 MONTHS. MY FIRST SURGERY WAS TO REPLACE MY AORTA (BICUSPID) HEART VALVE WITH A MECHANICAL ST. JUDE VALVE. MY ODDS OF NOT MAKING IT IS 1 IN 4. GLAD TO SEE YOU SURVIVED! HOPE I AM AS LUCKY.
