  • My bicycle have refectors mounted the bike as low as possible. On the chain stay, bottom of rear rack stays, rear fender and at the back of the rack. I do wear a refective vest, but the lights of a car will hit the lower refectors first, long before the vest. Also, there is less background lights down low. I also run as many as 8 bright taillights, both blink and seady.

    Front has refectors and ligths much the same, but also up higer.

    I ride in the city, not on dark roads, so I need more.

  • Thanks for posting, very informative stuff. Some riders wear gloves year round, I would like to suggest that cyclists choose gloves with reflective materials.
