Al Jazeera's Anand Naidoo, standing in for Riz Khan, speaks to Tony Benn, the former British Labour MP and cabinet minister, about his reaction to the G20 summit in London.

Benn discusses whether any of the pledged money will go to poor and developing countries and whether more regulation will really help prevent a financial crisis from happening again.

  • That was an example of how an interview should be conducted. Give your interviewee an opportunity to say something interesting without interrupting constantly.

I can't bear listening to most BBC interviews these days, it's just a battle between whose microphone is loudest.

Well done, Riz Khan and Tony Benn.

  • Who dislikes this?...

  • @feliciter84 You think so? He spends about 1 minute answering the question put to him and the rest of the time using the interview as a platform to give his opinion on what ever takes his fancy

  • @feliciter84 spot on

  • Do I here President of the United States?

  • The media is the real porblem today (and controlled by financial bank systems!)

  • @epiphany55 Quite so. We don't need a capitalist class any more than we need a Soviet-style dictatorship. The current system is a sick farce at it's very best.

  • He's spot on re: the BBC.
