@feliciter84 You think so? He spends about 1 minute answering the question put to him and the rest of the time using the interview as a platform to give his opinion on what ever takes his fancy

That was an example of how an interview should be conducted. Give your interviewee an opportunity to say something interesting without interrupting constantly.
I can't bear listening to most BBC interviews these days, it's just a battle between whose microphone is loudest.
