** This is a "repost" from yesterday. No one was watching or commenting. Y'all either hate the subject material, OR YT didn't place the video into everyone's in-box. Personally, I am going with the later! **

What attracts me to stitching is the repetitive nature of each little 'x'. Each has to lie just 'so'!
My eyes are failing and I don't see the mistakes as much anymore.

  • All of them are very lovely pieces Roc I think my favorites were the little girl coming and going on the bike or the church...lots and lots of hours spent there...Your making me want to try and do it again...lol

  • @Carballoca Pam, those two of the little girls on the bike - there is a third piece (not yet started) that shows six girls on a six-seater bike. They are all happy and in very colourful clothing. You stitch? Would you like that pattern? Let me know. No problem to send it.

  • okay the cat stuck in a barrel and the cranes were my favorite. loved the cranes the best. that large piece was amazing! I been slowly working on one that I'm not sure will ever get done in this century but it will be so beautiful when it is done! Thank you for sharing those! now I got the cranes and those beautiful pieces to think about before bed. The last animal medicine card I got for the day at my retreat was a crane. powerful spiritual animal .. create a great day Roc

  • @Ishkiia You should show your cross stitch piece, Ish! I'd love to see, even if it isn't finished! I find it very relaxing - I put music on and stitch... or overlap when the TV is on. - roc

  • Beautiful! I have only done the stamped kind, which I learned from my mom, and crewel embroidery. I once took a counted cross stitch pattern and transferred it in acrylic paint to rug canvas for a friend who wanted to latch hook a dog that looked like hers. It drove her a bit crazy that I did it in false color, but once she got used to light gray being yellow and dark gray green, she was OK and I didn't have to mix paint to have two shades of gray. It took me longer then her to finish my job.

  • @erra404 Thanks, Ronda. That is some feat to transfer a pattern to rug canvas! I have hooked (heh heh) as well and love seeing a rug emerge. - roc

  • @SueVlogs Finding the center is easy, Sue. Fold in half and half again (quarter). The cloth's point is the center. Stick a needle in the point and unfold. Voila! a needle is sticking right out of the middle of the cloth! That is where your first stitch goes.

I'm glad you enjoyed my stuff! - roc

  • @ABQdoubleG I am glad you liked it, Gigi. - roc

  • @misty420luvsfrogs Yes, you should show! - roc

  • @twish1999 I really like that one, too, Twish. - roc

  • @longcara Thanks, Caroline. I impressed myself with the holly one! I really like the way it turned out! I agree that they shouldn't be in a drawer - too expensive to frame though! - roc

  • @anmoose Thanks, Moosie. - roc

  • @buglady58 Thanks, Gail. Too expensive to frame. I probably should give them away. - roc
