Nat sits down on his bed and cries
Nat: what do I do?
He thinks for an hour or so.
nat: how do i fix this?
he thinks for a while more then he walks over to Rosalina’s house and starts to sing Rosalina
She hears him singing and runs downstairs and out the door. She runs up to him and hugs him
Nat: I’m sorry I wouldn’t let you explain
Rosalina: it’s ok. I’m just glad that we’re back together
Nat: me too.
Rosalina: so you’re not mad at me?
Nat: I think it’s kind of sweet that you kissed someone because he looked like me
Rosalina: (smiles) I’m so sorry.
Nat: I’m sorry I wrote that song
Rosalina: what song?
Nat: face in the hall
Rosalina: don’t be. It’s a really good song.
Nat: but it’s about us being over
Rosalina: I know, but it’s still a good song. I don’t think you should have to give up a good song just because I don’t like it.
Nat: thanks
They kiss
Rosalina: aw… it’s a happy ending!
Nat: who says this is an ending?
Rosalina: well, I meant to the fight.
Nat: (chuckles) I know.
Rosie: ok I’ve made another decision
Nat: go on…
Rosalina: I’ve decided that I’m going to stay here for 8th grade.
Nat; :)
Rosalina: (giggles and hugs him) I’m so sorry!
Nat: I already forgave you
Rosalina: I know.
Nat: I forgive you again
Rosalina: (giggles) see you tomorrow at school
Nat: you probably have a lot to do now that you’re back
Rosalina: I might need help
Nat; ok, I’ll help you
Rosie: yay! (giggles)
Nat: ok so what do you need me to do?
Rosie: well I need you to help me set up my locker tomorrow.
Nat: ok. I got to go. See you then
Rosie: bye Nat. I love you.
Nat: I love you too.
He leaves and goes back home.
The next day
Nat: ok so where’s your locker?
Rosie: by the gym
Nat: ok.
They walk there together, holding hands.
Nat: wow. You’re locker is so clean!
Rosie: (giggles) that’s cause it’s empty.
Nat: what’s your point? Ok. So what can I do?
Rosie: put up this wallpaper?
Nat: ok. It’s so girly
Rosie: that’s cause I’m a girl
Nat: I know that.
Rosie: (smiles)
Nat: ok so how do I put this up?
Rosie: tape?
Nat: oh. Do you have any?
Rosie; yeah (hands him some)
Nat: ok done!
Rosie: thanks! Ok, um now I need to hang up some photos
Nat: you keep a photo of me in your locker?
Rosie: I do now.
Nat: that’s sweet. (kisses her) thanks
Rosie: the bell’s about to ring
Nat: oh shoot! I have to go, my first class is all the way at the other end of the school!
Rosie: ok, see you!
Nat: bye
He leaves to go to his next class
In Davis
Nat and David are passing notes
The note:
Nat: Hey, could this class get anymore boringer?
David: Is boringer even a word?
