Lego Mindstorm NXT Injection Molding Machine

Lego NXT 2.0 mimics the movement of the injection molding machine. Movements during all stages include material (red ball) falling into the barrel from the hopper, screw rotation, mold halves closing, screw injection, mold haves remove and screw back off. The movements are broken into segments instead of the actual seamless movement due to better understanding. The screw rotation while backing off is also taken out for now.

Nice!  Did you base that off of plastic injection, die-cast, or high-pressure aluminum die casting? My guess is towards high pressure, it just looks so similar...
