You're an idiot, hard drive crashes are hardware issues. Maybe you bought shitty Walmart Special computers with offbranded harddrives, that could explain why your harddrive was faulty, This isn't a software issue, and since the software defines if it is a "PC" or not in this sense, the fact that it is a PC is irrelevant. The harddrive fail rate between Macs and PCs is almost identical.
