@82cmb Yeah I see where you're comin from man, I wasn't tryin to bash what you were saying. I think we've both made some pretty valid points. And yeah I'm sure not all of it falls to the ground, and in no way is it good for the atmosphere or the environment in any way. That's just another one of the many reasons why everyone is experimenting with alternative fuel sources.

@SuPeRgOoN69 a stock diesel probly runs as clean as a gas motor,but when they dont fully combust the carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons and nitrogenoxides increase greatly which is a huge factor in smog,and all that soot doesnt fall to the ground and if it did that wouldnt be any better.

@82cmb I hope you feel real proud of yourself for using such a colorful vocabulary. Yes some of the particulate matter contributes to smog, and yes diesel engines are not 100% emissions free, but the black smoke is unburnt fuel, most of which settles back to the ground. Diesels produce less carbon monoxide than regular gasoline motors, and the black soot is composed of carbon compounds that were not fully combusted, most of which do not enter the atmosphere.

@82cmb way to respond to a year old comment. I do realize that the wording of my comment was a little off. I meant that diesel fuel emits less harmful gases into the air than regular unleaded fuel. Smog does not just come from diesel fuel genius. More of it comes from regular gasoline because gassers produce much higher emissions than diesels... look it up
