A Duro single piston style pump I restored. It will probably get put into service in the shack when the ground thaws. The piston was completely frozen. I was barely able to get enough of it out in one piece to create a new one. I attempted to make my own cup leathers but ended up using hydraulic piston seals.

  • Excellent! That works very well. I have got a little diaphragme pump to mount with one of my engines. Out of interest, are these pumps a copy of the stuart turner pump, they look very similar?

  • @steamwally Thanks! I couldn't tell you who copied who but I've seen and heard about several brands that use a very similar design. There's some Meyers pump vids on here that look almost identical except for the valve positions.

  • 1/2 hp kinda overkill for that little guy. 1/4 hp runs em with ease

  • yes I supose there are many pumps that look similar, each type seems to follow a set design!

Anyway, nice little pump set, going to set my pump up with my diesel Petter so I have a water pumping set if It's ever needed! Don't live near the sea but you never know....
