A diagnostic hearing test is far more in depth than a simple hearing screening test. It is designed to determine precisely where the hearing problem lies. The ear is a very complicated system involving the ear drum, the middle ear, the inner ear and the brain. For a diagnostic hearing test we use two different tests to ascertain your absolute hearing thresholds for both your right and left ears. These two tests are called "Air Conduction" and "Bone Conduction".
