really boring game

AHHH!!! Z-axis crap that Legacy had. They should keep the space combat (player viewing) like it is in SFC III

@tacticalzen you all so have to keep in mind. That this game is still young. Its not like WoW that is about 6 or so years old and has had patch patch and more patches to make it flow better and do better. So as long as they dont kill it and keep it going and just make it better from where it is now i can see it become a very good game.

@tacticalzen but you would also have needed an entire team of players in place and working together just to pilot a ship. it sounded interesting to me in some ways, but not much like a good game or a fun game. anyway, STO is for me very fun but also limited in content - for now. if it's still around in 6 months to a year (and you haven't all forgotten about it playing the transformers mmo, LOL) my advice is maybe think about giving it a try.

@reallysecretusername cbs studios (the owner of the star trek name, likeness, rights, whatever, etc) rushed Cryptic to put it out trying to catch some of the buzz from the 2009 ST movie. I think they were also impatient from dealing with the previous game developer (not Cryptic) who farted around on a much different ST mmo for a couple years without much to show for it. Something about a game based totally inside the Ent D which would be completely open & explorable down to the Jeffrey's tubes
this game looks really awesome im not sure why there isnt much praise for it

For a lot of people it just didn't meet their expectations for what a Star Trek game *should* be (I'm one of them). Once I stepped back from my frothing Trekker rage, I decided that it's an okay game just for the Trek space combat alone.
It's definitely pewpew, so don't expect depth, Bioware level storylines or anything like that. I think they had 50 developers working on it, iirc; compared to roughly 125 devs for Mass Effect 1.
