dog helps cat give birth

This is a 6 month old cat that was rescued from a pig farm in Port Elizabeth, It was thought she was feral (wild) but once she was safely at her foster home, it was discovered that she is quite tame and happy to be in a safe and clean environment.
She has been in foster care for three week before finally giving birth to three tiny kittens, because the mommy cat is so small and young herself she had a long labor the first kitten born at 4.30am on Saturday morning 18th September 2009, then only a hour and half later she had the second baby, then 3 hours later the third one finally made its appearance, The cat cried and the kitten was born, but she never had the strength to break the bag or get the kitten to breath, I broke the bag a little and my miniature Doberman named Nikkie immediately jumped in and began to save the little kitten, she took the birth bag of got the kitten breathing and cleaned her up, the mommy cat just watched, she is uneasy but you can see also grateful,
Nikkie is an amassing dog she is very well know for fostering kittens that have been abandoned, but now she has gone that extra mile by been a midwife as well, she hasnt left the cat side she has been there since the kittens were born and when mommy kitty needs a break Nikkie jumps in to keep the babies safe and worm.
