The problem is that Obsidian has Bethesda's characteristic fault multiplied to an extreme degree: great creative imagination united to absolutely pathetic programming skills and quality control. From a quality point of view, Fallout NV is absolutely PATHETIC. Either the playtesters were brain-dead or Obsidian ignored them -- probably the latter.

Honestly, I reckon Bethesda should hand over Fallout to Obsidian Entertainment. Obsidian' did an amazing job with New Vegas and I personally think it was better than Fallout 3. This would speed up the production of Fallout games and allow Bethesda to work on other stuff.
