His competitive spirit is what separates him from them. Sure Kobe is competitive, and others want to win, but Jordan's will was unbreakable. He took it as a personal insult if he lost. I'll never forget when he made his comeback in 95, how in the playoffs against the Magic the Bulls lost the series, and one of the last, lingering plays is Jordan having the ball stolen from him by Nick Anderson. Next year the Bulls come back and get the best record in NBA history, and the start of another 3-peat.
