that squeaking noise is teither the alternator belt or it could also be the water pump...mine made that exact same sound when i had a water pump problem..

that looks like an eclipse motor in there.

my boys dodge neon did this to him (bad example. a neon. i know) but his timing belt was too loose.

tight up belt and battery pins, check also fuel pump. Fuel pump breaks easy when you have a less gas in a tank. elantra's spare parts cheap. just change new parts

Thats how I bought the car. I was planning on dropping the 4G63T in there but it had a whole bunch of electrical issues which I was never able to get fixed. The squealing noise was obviously the alternator belt. Which I tightened. The problem I had was getting the car started. Anyways, the car is gone now.
