I should think the United States will survive (in a fashion) irrespective of which person is elected President. I think people assume the President has a lot of power. I doubt that. Big business, the CIA and those behind-the-scenes-bankers are running the country and the world, despite the side show from the White House.

The USgov is the largest terrorist organization ever known to man-kind. The conservative Christians want a Theocracy. We all know this is only to control the masses, not to keep the masses happy. 911 opened my eyes. "Blow Back" aka "reaction" is the only word that describes what happened on 911. The first settlers, 1490s, were not very nice, and the Puritans 1600s just cemented what kind of county America would become. The USA will fall for its actions. I just hope I am gone when it occurs.

so much to say but so little time! mankind as a whole has progressed very far into these technolgically controlled enviornments that they created. to bad that it will all be wasted in the blink of an eye! all of humanity needs to make very drastic changes in the way they handle the coming years, cause such damage has already been done that can never be changed, all i can do is pray to the father like this tune suggests and let him take control of our very uncertain future AMEN!

@MARKBPHARM Most recorded civilizations have 400 to 500 year life cycle. Ours will be in the low 400's when ours ends.Greed and corruption have always been the killers of all great civilizations.It's very hard to fathom that the human race produces such beautiful art and science and at the same time so damn self destructive Our distortion will likely come from some man made germ and not "The A Bomb"

@MARKBPHARM The president is just a pawn. It makes me wonder why he's called "Commander and Chief". If he really were in charge he wouldn't have to go through congress to get bills passed because he's "Commander and Chief" therefore what he says should go. That's one reason I don't vote.

@lwatcdr Really? hmm, i can believe that. Witht eh state of the U.s. and the lack of civil discussion on both sides I can understand how the song would be so prevalent today. Society breaks down when civility and manners break down.

Takes me back to 1987, in Bahrain and the girl I had recently broken up with because her drinking just got to be waaaay out of control. 2 weeks after we broke up, on October 30, 1987, she attended a Halloween party and later that night drove off a pier and crashed into a steel flat barge. The guy passed out in the backseat (another friend of mine) died immediately on impact from a broken neck, but she drowned when trying to escape the car.

RIP Jennifer and Danny, you're always remembered.
