Deadlock as deadline lapses

The coalition of parties under the umbrella of Party of National Unity, PNU presented their memorandum on the harmonized draft constitution, saying the ODM party provoked them by disregarding an ongoing consensus building to take their views to the committee of experts. In the memo, PNU is calling for a purely presidential system with an all powerful president who can hire and fire the prime minister and other public officers and as KTNs Noah Otieno now reports, it is the extremely divergent views of the two leading political parties that point to the hard task ahead for the committee of experts, as the thirty days period for gathering of public views draws to a close tomorrow.
