1967 release by the woman who brought us 'Rescue Me'. Nice mid-tempo Windy City sound. It must be said it wasn't long after this record, that Fontella's disenchantment with the Chess people became so, she left the label. Bass married Jazz trumpeter Lester Bowie, and for years could be found on his jazz recordings. She continues a vibrant performer to this day with critically acclaimed recordings. Fontella is the daughter of noted gospel singer Martha Bass and the older brother of soul singer David Peaston who gathered some notoriety in the 90's. A Universal Music Group recording.
