Kenilworth Gardens is an area that's very popular with young families due to its proximity to schools, public transporation, parks and, by Wilmette standards, modestly-priced homes.
The area is bounded by Elmwood Ave on the South, Chestnut Ave on the north, Ridge Rd on the east and Hunter Rd on the west.
Most homes - built between the 20s and 60s, with some recent teardowns - are priced from $800k to $1.2M, although a number are above that range.
I can buy a Georgian in any Chicago area neighborhood at a fraction of $800K! It's proximity to the lake is good though. Also, that neighborhood is a FAR cry from the REAL Kenilworth homes on Sheridan!
