  • This is why James LaBrie is forever the best progressive metal singer of all time! most of his notes are in chest, not falsetto. So powerful ,so excellent. The whole band kicks so much ass!

  • The definitive version of my favorite Dream Theater song. The best performance of James Labrie.

  • Awesome to see LaBrie hitting those high notes so clean and with such clarity. It doesn't matter how he is now, he has left his mark and it's videos like this that ensure he'll be remembered.

  • @Proghead26 Your are right!! James Is the man!! And yes He uses all fullvoice it's not chest voice cause that would be strained. Your full voice is still part of your speaking voice just felt in the head.

    awesome solo.

  • 07:02 "I am the killing hand" then he looked at his hand. LOL

  • just epic.

  • I'm not that much of a LaBrie fan but this guy sure could wail with such intensity. Anyone else feels he back in the early 90's was much better live than in the studio? Tbh I found the vocal lines on some early DT ''classics'' to be a bit too clean on say ''Pull Me Under'' and ''Under a Glass Moon'' and worked way better with rasp.

  • @TheFacilidade Both James and Russel have their share of 'off' performances on video. And obviously it's not all about who can sing the highest note. I enjoy both.

  • @manegex he vomited so much he bursted his vocal chords

  • @meryuin 95 what?

  • @TheBrazenHell a bit to yeah
