The Blob

One of the most memorable of the giant monster films of the 50's, this sci-fi classic was filmed in my home town of Phoenixville Pennsylvania. I was 11 years old at the time, and saw some of the filming.

just to be the first to say here, this is a great film and I really enjoyed watching it for the first time last night on telly. Steve McQueen is awesome. Thanks for the uploadage :-)

Hi Rick. I read somewhere that it was filmed in Downingtown PA. Anyhow, you would know better then I. I was in Phoenixville just this past June to see guitarist Tommy Emanuel perform at the Colonial Theater. I also attended an organ performance there about 10 or 12 years ago when the pipe organ was still in the building. The organist was Candy Carly Roth. She's blind but you would never know it the way she plays the organ.

rick thanks i love this version.i was 2 yo when the movie came out.the song i use to dance to in danceing school when i was 5.rick was this movie shot in a town or a film studio.and how do they make the blob do you know.
