Weihai China Hospital - CRAZY

On May 10th, 2010, Sam and I got up early in the morning to go to a Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Weihai, China. First, a Chinese doctor diagnosed Sam by looking at his tongue and fingernails. Then, the lady doctor stuck a field of 12 acupuncture pins on Sam's back. Each needle went in about 2 inches, even the ones along his spinal cord. Then she lit up a torch, heated up medieval glass blood-letting torture devices, and stuck them on Sam's back, over the needles. After leaving him there for 20 minutes with a heat fan on him, she sent us to the traditional Chinese pharmacy. Instead of counting pills, they weighed out different exotic herbs for Sam to use in his tea, with very specific brewing instructions. Wow.

@iamadeadghostgirl - None of the firecups hurt, and out of all of the needles, only one hurt a little. The rest you couldn't feel anything. As far as English goes, I think we still did better communicating via charades than actual speaking. =)

This is awesome, but I thought that was a bloodletting technique still used with a three headed sharp needle then the glass cups? Or this is just different technique?

TCM has proven time and time again it works so if ur unwise and dont wanna be open to such medicines dont bother going to one. Western medicine has many flaws and that is why TCM is one of the fastest growing alternative therapies in western countries!

For the 2 people below that responded this is bs and magic, you do realize they've been practicing this for over 2 thousand years. Now get this next part. 2 thousand years with RESULTS. It may not work on everyone just like western medicine doesnt. Has Ibuprofen gotten rid of everypersons headache you know, every single time? How about allergy medicine? Some Chinese techniques are better than our own. Some western techniques are better. Imagine combining the 2?

Traditional Chinese medicine is bullshit. Even the Chinese know it. I tried acupuncture when I had migraines and other malaises. Of course, it didn't help one bit.
