Residents of Grand Forks should fondly remember this show more than I do, but here is a promo for Santa's Toyland Show, which apparently was a show where kids meet Santa at the Grand Forks Civic Auditorium and tell him what they want for Christmas. No audio in the first half, but I think you get the point...

For a long time, I always thought the holy grail of Youtube was an episode of Harrigan, yet I found one. Now I believe it will be a full episode of Santa's Toyland. I remember rushing home from school to catch this show when it aired around 4 or 4:30 in Winnipeg in early December. Great memory, thanks RetroWinnipeg!

It was cool to see the promo, I remember the show as well.

Not to be off-topic, but the news report afterward was a rare, honest glimpse of what was going on at the time. I was taken aback by how heavy and close to home the headline was.

Man, WDAZ had cheap graphics back then. I haven't been back to Grand Forks in quite a while, but from what I hear, WDAZ STILL does things on the cheap.
