Tribal fusion Belly Dance is a non-traditional style that pushes the boundaries of Bellydance. The dance is earthy, dark and snake-like. It incorporates elements of classical Indian, African, hip hop and interpretive dance. Emphasis will be on posture, arm positions, isolations and movements at the beginner level.
Armed with a degree in Kinesiology and 8 years of dance experience, Monique Ryans passion for movement is more than just a past time. At the forefront of the Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Movement in Halifax you can find her performing around Halifax with either Pink Velvet Burlesque or solo. As an instructor shes interested in helping to increase the self-esteem of women through dance and creative expression.
