@flyerbuses5000: I seriously don't know why, but they should've kept some of them at least until later on this year or in 2011... Possibly due to service cuts.

Where can I buy one of these busses?

@baul104 Well now, CTA is SOOOOO STUPID RETARDED for giving up their 1995 Flx Metro 6000s for the same thing. They should've got rid of their little ugly butt ass Optimas 500s.

I Loved their pipe Exaust smell in back of them.

@flyerbuses5000 I know how you feel, I miss TMC 4400s so much, I even miss them MUCH at North Park Garage. Rt. 151 Sheridan used to be my favorite route because of them until those 1000s came to NP. I wish they can come back and Dump those ugly shorty 500 Optimas. Some of TMCs (especially later 4400 series) had plenty of life in them. I miss the engine noise in them too. I still love them to death after them being scrapped. I think more than couple of them been saved though.

@gabeguzman: Mmm, sorry, but it's not gonna happen though.. These RTS buses of Chicago CTA were retired around December of 2008. One of the RTS buses, the #4550 was sold to Peoria Transit of Illinois. The rest of them were either auctioned out or scrapped.
