The season finale of "Huskies Unleashed," Northeastern's new behind-the-scenes video series, is now available to fans on Facebook. The episode will be available on GoNU.com on Friday.
This week's show takes a closer look at the women's soccer freshman class and features an exclusive interview with freshman forward Lahaina Zoller. The Honolulu, Hawaii native talks about the early transition to Division I soccer and the mentorship provided by CAA preseason Player of the Year Veronica Napoli.
In episode one, fans were treated to an insider's look at the first team meeting and preseason workouts. Week one also featured an interview with sophomore Hannah O'Donnell, in which she spoke about coming back from three ACL tears.
Episode two focused on the Northeastern goalkeepers and included one-on-one interviews with juniors Michelle Sopko and Megan Penn, freshman Paige Burnett and Assistant Coach Ashley Phillips. The episode also looked at the Huskies' exhibition match against Providence College, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Week three's show treated fans to interviews with sophomore midfielder Hillary Savoy, senior defender Kelly Matthews and junior forward Hanna Terry. The episode followed the Huskies through their first two games of the season and provided an exclusive interview with strength and conditioning coach Sarah Cahill.
The popular new series, which debuted on Aug. 11, provides fans with exclusive and unprecedented access to their favorite Northeastern teams.
The Huskies (2-1-0), fresh off a 3-0 win over Loyola (Md.), will head to South Carolina for a two-game weekend swing. Northeastern will face South Carolina on Friday at 7 p.m., and Clemson on Sunday at noon. Visit GoNU.com for Live Stats information and for game previews and recaps.
