ya i met david once at a basketball tournament in austin, i got to play against his son, and meet him after the game, hes a great guy, definetely my favorite player of all time.

David Robinson is one of my favorite players not just because of his play (which is great, no doubt) but because he is also just such a good person. You could even just tell from his Hall of Fame speech how caring he is about people.

After moving to San Antonio my wife and I visited a church once, and when I got up to take my 1-year old daughter out of the service I saw David Robinson there in the back row with his wife and kids. He's a God-fearing man and that's why he leads such a life of integrity. I saw him again at Lifetime Fitness playing basketball with some of his kids and their friends. He's not arrogant, loves to chat with people, just a really great guy, never let money and fame get to his head!
