@sarshalomin I base what I said on Maimonidies Yad Hachazaka, laws of Blessing of the Moon (kidush hachodesh), which is based on Gen., 1:14 - And G-d said, "Let there be luminaries in the expanse of the heavens, to separate between the day and between the night, and they shall be for signs and for appointed seasons and for days and years. 1:16- And G-d made the two great luminaries: the great luminary to rule the day and the lesser luminary to rule the night, and the stars. and Deut. 16:1.

Sorry to tell you brother but you ERR in the Torah !!!
The Torah does not talk about the moon as a sign for seasons moed!
In fact in bereshit 1.16 in hebrew read for yourself ... Two luminaries the sun and stars..!!
The moon is NOT a star!!! In fact it does not shine!!! You have any questions please I would love to have a talk ...waltersfiles @yahoo.com
