THERE'S A LITTLE BIT OF BAD IN EVERY GOOD LITTLE GIRL --Medley Fox Trot
(Fred Fisher)
(includes: "I'm Saving up the Means to Get to New Orleans" and "Way Out Yonder in the Golden West")
Victor Military Band
Victor, 35589-B, 1916.

This medley of three popular songs of 1916 was recorded by the Victor Military Band on September 8, 1916, and is on the flip side of "Pretty Baby." Three days earlier, "There's A Little Bit of Bad in Every Good Little Girl" was recorded by Billy Murray, also on the Victor label.

The sound of the Victor Military Band always makes me think of a band playing in a park bandstand on a Sunday afternoon. With that thought in mind, I have illustrated this record with images of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, using postcards and family photos.

Walter Brockmann, whose collection this record is from, was the pianist in his high school jazz band in about 1918. See "Oh! By Jingo" to learn more about him.
