Yeah this is not the true mike burgener warm up. It supposed to be from the HIGH hang with MINIMAL hip angle. Basically bend your knees and sit back.

hi jason nice stuff

Wait, you're starting each rep from mid-thigh.. isn't it supposed to be from the high-hang position?

Not sure what is meant by the "true" Burgener warm up. Having trained with Coach B, that's how I did it and he had no problem with it. Just bending your knees and sitting back will put your shoulders behind the bar. This is the incorrect position from which to commence the 2nd pull.

I've learnt a few versions of the warm up with this being one from quite a few years back. All are similar and all hit the key points. Speed thru the middle, keeping the bar close, upper body strength, footwork and strength in the bottom. Focus on those things and it doesn't really matter where you start from.
