@dreamssofblue HA!!!! I dont wanna afford them. I would be more than willing to throw 1000 down on a high quality sub that performs. But why throw that much down on a sub when my alpine type r performs just they way that i want it to. For 100 bucks it sounds great and performs perfectly. Rap, metal, tecno... anything i throw at it she slams in my trunk. I cant wait to get it in a ported box.

@bitzboy123 oh 4 subs can flex a window but it takes alot of pressure to break a window with bass. i had 4 12s on 3000 watts and it still didn't break my window.... in a hatch back car.

And you think digital designs sucks because they are only for SPL, think again! Check out their 2500 and 3500 driver models, they would simply blow away your alpine's SQ and loudness. By the way I had an alpine type x in the past so don't say I am disrespecting alpine. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to car audio.

@SigmaBallistics wow dumb ass you must be a dumb ass because i go for alpine. I push a 10" with a 1200 watt mtx jackhammer mono block amp. I use a sealed box so the bass is not as loud as it could possibly be. Ok all a dd dose is output a amazing amount of bass. Not what im looking for. I want high sound quality and a punchy bass. Hence the 10" and a sealed box. If i wanted loud i would have got a alpine type r 15". But i wanted punch.

@bn3027 then who fucking cares if a system can do 160 db. What is the point in having a system that can blast that loud if you are not going to use it for that purpose. Really alpines can do it just fine. they may not be able to push 160 db but from your point WHO FUCKING CARES!!!!
