I found this interesting movie - from the early 80's; thought to share it.
It's a fascinating interview with an artist, Sara Larkin, about a line of artwork she did called Spacescapes. Based on only a few still photographs, and mostly conversations with the original astronauts she was able to recreate visually this totally new perspective.
This is what amazed me, imagine being the first in a line of visual artists to see the earth from a completely new perspective. She speaks, in the interview, about the possible marriage of science/technology and the creative arts. This combines two of my favorite studies; just think about the possibilities. There's so much more on the horizon - to see the combination of the humanities and the technological.
You should look at her website - www.saralarkin.com
Let's get this revolution started (again) !
