It is suppost to spill!

Well, the spillway gates open, normally, twice a day - I want to say 11 AM and 11 PM. This is lake levels so high that water is flowing over the gates while they're in the raised (closed) position.

wow..when I saw the dam there was maybe a trickle coming down the spillway. I guess this happens when there is alot of rain or heavy snowmelt in spring?
