I alwaya had great friends in Castlerea and liked the town. I suppose that is why I got the inspiration to write this song in 1982. Brendans treatment of the song was the crowning glory and he has recorded fourteen of my compositions. JD

Actually the 1920s style Foxtrot was danced at a similar tempo to this. That was one of the reasons why the present day Foxtrot is known as a 'Slow Foxtrot'
